Braimah Isaac Kamoko, or “Bukom Banku,” a Ghanaian Professional Boxer, has been remanded into police custody for one week by an Accra Circuit Court on the accusation of aiding and abetting crime.
He is accused of conspiring with one Prosper Quaye to injure one Ismael Quaye in Bukom, Greater Accra Region.
Bukom Banku appeared in the dock with his son, Mustapha Kamoko, who was also charged with causing damage.
Bukom Banku, 50, and his son Mustapha Kamoko have both entered not guilty pleas.
Meanwhile, their accomplice, Prosper Quaye, a 32-year-old unemployed man charged with inflicting unauthorized damage, failed to appear in court to enter his plea.

As a result, the Court issued an arrest warrant for him.
Mr Godwin Amoah, counsel for the accused, informed the court that Prosper Quaye had arrived earlier but had told him that his stomach hurt and that he was going to get some medicines.
Mr Amoah prayed the court for bail for his clients saying that they were family and had people of substance to stand as sureties.
He stated that they had stable addresses and were not a “flight risk.”
The prosecution opposed the bail motion since it was not the first time they had committed such a crime and they would interfere with police investigations if given release.
It also requested a bench warrant for Prosper Quaye’s arrest.
As a result, the Court, presided over by Mrs Adelaide Abui Keddey, remanded them into police custody for seven days, with a reappearance scheduled for December 19, 2022.
The prosecutor, Police Chief Inspector Maxwell Ayim, informed the Court that the complainant, Mr Ishmael Neequaye, is a footballer who lives in Bukom, while the defendants (Bukom Banku and his son) are boxers and Prosper Quaye is unemployed.
According to the prosecution, all of the defendants were inhabitants of Bukom, near Jamestown.
According to the prosecution, on November 25, 2022, around 1730 hours, the complainant was resting in his bed when he heard an odd noise near his house.
According to Chief Inspector Ayim, the complainant woke to see the accused gravely assaulting some of his companions, including one Julius Tagoe, a witness in the case.
According to the prosecution, the complainant approached them and calmed the situation.
According to Chief Inspector Ayim, when Bukom Banku saw the complainant, he broke a bottle and gave it to Mustapha to inflict wounds on him.
The prosecution said Mustapha took the advice of the Banku and inflicted a deep wound on the abdomen of the complainant who bled profusely.
Chief Inspector Ayim said Prosper also took a stone and hit a 32-inch television belonging to one Tagoe.
According to the prosecution, the complainant was brought to the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital and hospitalised.
According to Chief Inspector Ayim, the accused were sought for arrest but were unsuccessful.
The prosecution said criminal summons were prepared and served on them to appear before Court.
