Masco Food, a subsidiary of the Mohinani Group of company, has opened the 27th branch of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant in Cape Coast to provide quality food service to the people of Central region and its environs.
This will be the first branch to be opened in the central Region since it opened its flagship restaurant at Accra in 2011.
Speaking to ATLFM NEWS and TVUCC on the sidelines marketing manager of KFC Ghana, Mr. Chris Addo Sarkodie indicated that his outfit is very thrilled to deliver its outstanding food service to residents of the region, and that it has partnered with GOIL to offer greater convenience to more people.
“we are excited that finally we have been able to make it to cape coast. For Cape Coast, the history and prominence cannot be underrated so as a business that keeps growing, as a business that keeps satisfying the needs of its consumers and Ghanaians in general, we actually partnered with GOIL to put up this amazing edifice to satisfy our consumer base in the central Region.
While suggesting that a new branch in Cape Coast will service travelers and tourists visiting the region, he also revealed that the facility’s staff were recruited entirely from the region and urged all locals to use the restaurant’s service.
On her part, Senior Manager for non- fuel and convenience retail at GOIL, Mrs. Maureen Amma Owoo stated that her outfit was delighted to have played a part in the establishment of KFC in the region.
She said, “It’s a good collaboration as GOIL is about quality, so we thought with our brand we should always be flying and doing collaborations with other high branded companies. So for our customers, now it’s not just about fuel when they come to our station. We’ve taken the opportunity to satisfy our customer needs by bring such a facility to the place.”
She also hinted that there will be more collaborations as such in the future.
The Central Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan was also at the event and she assured KFC her outfit’s continued support even as a branch has been opened in the region.
She said, “We want to assure you that the Central Regional coordinating Council is also poised than ever to also to give you the necessary assistance and to collaborate with you so that this branch will work without any difficulty.”
She further called on management to patronize local product from the region.

“We have what it takes to support you to run the facility so buy from the people of Cape Coast so that in so doing you will be contributing to the local economy. We don’t want you to be importing everything that into cape Coast”, she pleaded.
Oguaamanhen, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II indicated that the facility had been opened at an opportune time because it was going to benefit Cape Coast and the region as a whole.
To that end, he admonished KFC management not to compromise on food quality.
“KFC is known throughout the world. Please stick to the quality of KFC throughout the world. Do not compromise on the quality of your products. The quality here should be comparable to that of the United States or wherever and we hope that you benefit from deciding to come to Cape Coast.”
