The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has presented a cheque of GHS30, 000.00 to the University of Cape Coast in support of activities commemorating the 60th anniversary celebrations of the University.
Area Manager of ADB for Central, Western and Western North, Mr. Emmanuel Akanko, presenting the cheque on behalf of management of the bank said the donation was in response to a request from the University early this year for support in the celebration of its 60th anniversary.
He further indicated that ADB over the years had established a very cordial relationship with the University hence, the bank found it extremely necessary to show its respect and contribute to the successful commemoration of the 60th anniversary. He also assured the University of further support to deepen the ties between the two institutions.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, was elated for the support. He also called on the bank to actively participate in activities scheduled to mark the 60th anniversary of UCC.
The brief presentation ceremony had in attendance, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, UCC, Prof. Mrs. Rosemond Boohene and Registrar, Mr. Jeff Teye Onyame. Also present were the ADB Branch Manager for Cape Coast, Mr. Stephen Adjei Brewu and Branch Manager UCC, Mr. Joshua Ntow Dade.
