The Ghana Water Company has announced there will be water service disruptions to Cape Coast and parts of Elmina as a result of a breakdown of the major transmission pipelines that deliver water from Sekyere Hemang to Cape Coast Metropolis.
According to a press statement signed by Central Regional Chief Manager for the GWC, K.Y Aberese, the pipelines broke down in Juabo in between Ayensudo and Abirem Agona.
Ghana Water Service finally assures consumers that Engineers and technicians from the Company are working tirelessly to repair the pipelines and restore water service.
This announcement comes after parts of the Central and Western regions suffered acute water shortages in the early parts of January.
