Gifty Adorye has expressed her disappointment in Nigerian gospel artistes for not supporting Ghanaian gospel music.
In a recent video she uploaded on social media, Gifty Adorye claims to agree with Shatta Wale’s claim of lack of support from the Nigerian fraternity to the Ghanaian music industry.
The popular gospel musician and television personality say that she hardly sees a Ghanaian gospel artist headline a show in Nigeria.

She said: “…..when was the last time a Ghanaian gospel musician headline a gospel show in Nigeria? If I recall, it was about a month or two ago that I heard that Celestine Donkor was about to a program in Nigeria. It is the only one I have seen in a long time and the one I can testify to.”
Gifty Adorye proceeded to ask whether Ghanaian gospel artistes are given the same positive treatment that is given to Nigerian gospel artistes who visit Ghana for programs.
“Even when we make publicity for them to come to Ghana, some of them even refuse to take pictures with we those who publicise them in Ghana.”
Gifty Adorye also revealed that even when Nigerian Gospel artistes have a program in Ghana, some of them wait for as long as a day before the program before they begin to publicize the program.
This follows some claims of popular dance Hall artist Shatta Wale that much of the success of the Nigerian music industry is dependent upon the supply and ‘hype’ from Ghanaians.
