The immediate past Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Professor Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh on Sunday held a thanksgiving service to thank God for a successful tenure of office as the Pro-vice chancellor of the university.
The occasion which took place at the Evangelical Methodist Church of Christ, in Cape Coast was graced by personalities such as the Registrar, Mr. Jeff Teye Nyame, the current Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rosemond Boohene, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North, Dr. Kwamena Mintah Nyarko, Former pro-Vice Chancellor of UCC, Professor, George K. T Oduro among other dignitaries.
Professor Dora Francisca Adu-Buandoh took over from Professor K.T Oduro as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of UCC on January 1, 2019, and has served in that capacity for three years until she officially handed over to the current Pro-VC, Professor Rosemond Boohene on January 1, 2022.
Sharing her experience at the occasion, Professor Dora Buandoh said her position as the first female Pro VC of UCC came as a big privileged to her sandwiched with the great responsibilities tabled before her.
She added that the few criticisms coupled with limited resources did not prevent her from giving off her best during her tenure.
She is therefore grateful to God for seeing her throughout the years as she served as the Pro-VC of UCC.
She also expressed her profound gratitude to all and sundry who saw to the successful completion of her tenure as the first female Pro VC in the university.
Until her appointment, Professor Dora Francisca Adu-Buandoh had served the university in many capacities as an assistant lecturer, head of a department, dean of a faculty, a provost among others.
