Four arrested for the alleged murder of 23-year-old in Central Region

Four persons have been arrested for allegedly murdering a 23-year-old man at the Beposo near Kuntunase in the Central Region.

The four namely Nana Kofi Amangu, Kwamena Sasan, Kwame Sersah, and Akwasi Essuman who hail from Breman Kuntunase are said to have attacked and killed the victim, Kwaku Nkrumah on January 3, 2022.

The Breman Asikuma District Police Command upon receipt of a report of the incident on the said day rushed to the scene of the incident and found the body of the deceased lying in a supine position and covered with an old mat.

Blood-stained ropes made with mosquito nets and clubs were also found scattered around the body.

Initial reports indicate that the four tied the deceased with the rope and hit him with the clubs until he became unconscious and subsequently died.

According to the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Central Regional Police Command, Sgt. Evans Isaac Ettie, the deceased’s head was found swollen with marks of violence dotted across his body and blood oozing from his ears and nostrils.

The body of the deceased is currently at the Our Lady of Grace Hospital Mortuary in Breman Asikuma pending preservation and autopsy.

The case is currently under investigation with the four suspects assisting in this regard.
