Cases between the state and dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale, and Samuel Frimpong, commonly known as Medikal, have been delayed until January 25, 2022, by the Accra Circuit Court 4.
Shatta Wale’s lawyer, Jerry Avenorgbo, petitioned the court to allow his client to attend various activities outside the nation over the holiday season.
Shatta Wale was arrested on October 19, 2021, for faking a shooting attack and was later charged with inciting fear and panic as well as the false publication of news.
The dancehall artist was remanded at Ankaful prison before being given self-recognizance bail in the amount of GH100,000.
Pobbi Banson, Medikal’s lawyer, also asked the court to postpone hearings until January 25, 2022, since his client will be traveling to perform at events over the Christmas season.
The court presided over by Emmanuel Essandoh granted the request and adjourned sittings to January 25, 2022.
