The Rotary Club, Cape Coast central has donated some personal protective equipment worth 6000 Cedis to the Cape Coast Metropolitan Hospital.
The items donated were N95/3M Nose masks, hand sanitizers, rubbing alcohol, surgical gloves and veronica buckets. Others included paper towels, and hand washing/Liquid Soaps. The items are expected to cushion the hospital in its service delivery in the wake of the pandemic.
Funds for the items were mobilized through generous donations from Rotarians in Cape Coast-Central. Charter President of the Cape Coast central Rotary club, Andrew Sefa said the donation was one of the many benevolent gestures of the club.
According to him, this is to contribute their quota in support of efforts by authorities in the fight against the spread of the virus promising that the Club will continue to offer its assistance any time they are called upon.

He urged staff of the hospital not to be distressed by the challenges associated with containing the virus but at all times be reminded of the need to work for the good of humankind.
Medical Superintendent of the Cape Coast Metropolitan hospital, Dr. Derrick Bonsu receiving the items on behalf of the hospital administration described the donation as timely adding, it had come at a time the hospital needed them most.
