Oware Junior, a gospel artist, had a historic night of mixed feelings at the 2021 Stars in Worship event in Accra.
On Saturday evening, the musician’s face was covered in broad grins as he was given the keys to a brand new Toyota Vitz at the House of Miracle Ministries.
After getting the vehicle for his remarkable contribution to the gospel music business and the influence of his songs on people over the years, the singer was in seventh heaven.
The occasion drew a slew of music giants, including Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Uncle Ato, Jack Alolome, and Chief Superintendent Kofi Sarpong, who were all recognized for their outstanding accomplishments.
Oware Junior was the grand prize winner, receiving an immediate cash award of GHC 25,000 from contributors.
The happy musician burst into tears as he recalled the years he had to hire cars from individuals for programs.
Receiving the honor, he said, was a dream come true and a terrific fulfillment.
“No, no, I didn’t expect this, but I was praying for such a miracle, so I thank God for His grace. As people saw me on the stage, my testimony if I say it, we are not going to leave.”
“Repairing people’s cars, I’ve prayed into this for years, but the Lord makes things beautiful in His time. I don’t know if I can even sleep today because my dream, by the grace of God, has come through,” he said.
In January 2022, the artist is anticipated to release a new album.
“My next album is coming out, and it is titled ‘Ɛnnyɛ Mea’, meaning ‘it’s not me’. I never even imagined this and the coming year; by the grace of God, I believe that Ghana will hear from me, and I believe the Spirit of the Lord is with us.”
It was a night of outstanding musical performances interspersed with creative spoken word and theatre presentations.
The Sampson Amoateng Foundation (SAF) hosted the event, which was attended by Madina MP Francis-Xavier Sosu and Deputy Lands Minister George Mireku Duker, among others.
Stars in Worship is an annual activity organized by Prophet Sampson Amoateng, the Founder and Leader of House of Miracles Worldwide, to assist link celebrities in worship throughout Africa.
Joy Entertainment’s KMJ and Adom TV’s Tima Kunkum served as Masters of Ceremony (MCs) for this year’s event.
