Kenyan police say a 65-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of slitting her 99-year-old husband’s throat with a machete-like knife, and partially chopping off his ear.
Local reports say a domestic dispute broke out between the couple on Sunday morning in Kandara, central Kenya.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect was quarrelling her daughter-in-law who had given the deceased breakfast. The husband came out to defend the daughter-in-law and that is when hell broke loose,” a local police chief told Kenyan media.
An investigation is under way.
