President Akufo-Addo will undertake a four-day visit to the Western and Western North Regions today, Friday, September 3, 2021.
This will be the President’s first visit to the two Regions after the 2020 presidential election.
He is scheduled to meet with regional Chiefs and traditional leaders, as well as cut sod for new projects and commission, finished ones.
On the first day, the President will make a courtesy visit to the Dompim Chief at his Palace before commissioning the Narubizi Rubber Factory under the 1D1F in the Wassa East District.
He will also pay a visit to the acting Shama Paramount Chief at Yabiw in the Shama District and meet with the Nzema Chiefs at Nzema Manle in Esiama in the Ellembelle District.
According to Issah Fuseini, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Regional Director of Communications, President Akufo-Addo will visit the Keda Ghana Ceramics Company Limited in Aboadze, producers of the Twyford Ceramic Tiles, to commission Phase Three of the factory and cut the sod for the start of Phase Four while in the Shama District.
On day two, the President will visit the Dixcove Landing Beach in the Ahanta West Municipality, cut the sod for the Takoradi-Tarkwa road in Tarkwa, and oversee the construction of a Polyclinic at Bogoso in the Prestea-Huni Valley Municipality.
The President will make a courtesy visit on the Chief of Wassa Akropong at his Palace in the Wassa Amenfi East District before departing for Sefwi- Wiawso in the Western North Region, according to the Communications Director.
