The Central Regional Minister, Justina Marigold Assan says the regional coordinating council is taking measures to ensure the central region is transformed to attract investors into its abode.
According to her, the measures being employed is to help improve the standard of living of indigenes in the region.
“The regional coordinating council under my leadership is currently initiating programs and policies which will enable us to transform the region and attract the needed investments to improve the standard of living of our people”.
Mad. Marigold Assan gave this revelation in a speech read on her behalf by a representative from her ministry at the commencement of a 5-day Synod of the Archdiocese of the Catholic Church in Cape Coast.
To this end, she urged individuals and stakeholders to present working documents to help in the strategic planning of changing lives to better develop the region.
“We are therefore inviting workable proposals and papers from all organisations and individuals to assist us fashion out a strategy to change lives, create employment, as well as build a prosperous region under the central region 2030 strategy.” She emphasized.
Mrs Justina Marigold Assan also prevailed on the leaders of the Catholic Church to keep abreast with the country’s developmental programs and continue to tailor the church’s developmental plans to run in consonance with that of the government.
She, therefore, urged the church to use the synod period to reflect on the possibility of developing innovative strategies that will help create jobs and better livelihoods for the church’s youth and the country as a whole.
