A man identified as Paul Adobaw has been arrested by the Breman Brakwa Police in the Central Region for allegedly burying his one and half year old son alive behind his house at Awoyo Street, a suburb of Breman Brakwa.
Paul Adobaw, popularly known as Kojo Okor was arrested after his tenant Abubakri Mohammed, aged 59 of H/No. unmarked Awoyo Street lodged a complaint after detecting the act by his landlord.
In a statement issued by the Central regional Police Command, Abubakari Mohammed went to the Brakwa Police Station to report that he saw his landlord and two women at about 12:30am, on 27 May 2021, holding a child and digging the ground behind their house.

According to the statement, the tenant questioned the three and was told that they were carrying out a traditional rite but later detected they had buried the child.
The Police in the company of the complainant arrested the suspect and proceeded to the scene behind the complainant’s house where a grave was found and identified by the complainant as the burial site, it further stated.
The statement further indicated that “the suspect, Paul was instructed by one prophetess, Ama Nkansah of Gomoa Eshiem who told him that the child who has never walked since birth was a spiritual child and has to be sent back to the river god, hence the burying od the child alive.
The said prophetess is currently on the run and the general public is urged to assist the police with information in this regard.
The body of the baby boy has been retrieved and deposited at Our Lady of Grace Hospital Mortuary Breman Asikuma for preservation and autopsy.
