Police have started an inquiry into the events that led to one of the university’s former students crashing from the fourth floor of the Mensah Sarbah Hall annex A.
“The event is under investigation by the police, and the university community will be kept informed as specifics of what transpired become available,” the University of Ghana’s (UG)management said in a statement.
Wahab Abdulai, the survivor, is a National Service person who lives in the hall.
Last Thursday, it was revealed that Wahab had slipped and fallen out of his room while trying to switch from his balcony to the balcony of the adjacent room.
The incident happened at 1:30 a.m., according to the University of Ghana (UG).

According to the university’s explanations, the victim was unofficially spending the night in the Hall.
Meanwhile, the university’s administration has confirmed that the “university campus is safe for academic life.”
The victim is adjusting to treatment, according to the school, after being rushed to the hospital for medical care.
