Two people have been detained in conjunction with the trafficking in human bones by the Eastern Region Police.
Residents of Kwamekyere, a village in the Ayensuano District, arrested these criminals, Awatey David Okra, 22, a driver, and Amenuvor Nicholas, 20, after receiving an alert.
According to the authorities, it all started when a scan of their baggage brought up suspicious human bones.

“The suitcase containing the bones, the pot containing the skull, and the pan with its contents were held for evidential purposes, while the two suspects were detained for further investigation,” said Francis Gomado, a police spokesperson for the area.
