The reopening of schools for form 3 Senior High School students has been pushed back to May 5 by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
This was in response to a request from the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools, according to the service (CHASS).
On June 30, schools were scheduled to reopen before the conclusion of the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.

The latest order supersedes the service’s previous timetable which extends to all third-year students in single-track and double-track classes.
Any other commitments on the schedule are unaffected.
As students return to school after the Easter holiday, the announcement was made today.
Academic work will resume on Wednesday after the Easter break.
