Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister of Education, has met with the various heads of agencies of the Ministry to discuss his vision for educational transformation.
Dr. Adutwum told the heads of agencies that his main objective was to carry out the President’s vision, which included an ambitious national education transformation plan.
He stated that the transition was essential in order to reinforce the vital role of education in all aspects of the economy.
“No country can develop without education, hence the need to develop the best minds and talents to help the country’s growth,” he said.

Heads of the Ghana Education Service, the Ghana Library Board, the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, the National Teachers Council, the National Service Scheme, the National Schools Inspectorate Authority, and the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, among others, were among those in attendance.
Dr. Adutwum encouraged them to continue to function as a team and implement the appropriate strategies in order to help the President achieve his goal of transforming the sector.
He promised to maintain an open door policy and encouraged the heads to always carry their views and suggestions to the Ministry for the collective good of the Ministry and the country.
Dr. Adutwum, the Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe and then Deputy Minister of Education from 2017 to 2020, was sworn in as the substantive Minister by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Friday, March 5.
On behalf of the heads, Mr Benjamin K. Gyasi, the Ministry’s Chief Director, vowed to assist the Minister in realizing the President’s vision of change.
