The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it is highly confident that the nomination of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as the running mate for the Party’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama will give the party a win in the 2020 general elections.
According to the NDC, the positive local and international euphoria that greeted her nomination has brought about a renewed confidence in their politics.
Prof. Opoku Agyemang’s nomination as running mate by President Mahama was unanimously confirmed by the National Executive Committee and council of elders of the party on Monday.

The NDC believes she is a safe pair of hands who will compliment John Dramani Mahama to execute his mission for the transformation of this country and the creation of prosperity for all when he is elected.
Speaking at the 6th Edition of the party’s weekly press briefing on Wednesday, Mr Sammy Gyamfi said: “We are convinced beyond a shred of doubt that our flag bearer by this spectacular choice has delivered a political masterstroke that will propel the NDC to a resounding victory on December 7, 2020, and end the Akufo reign”.
The NDC said it is grateful to the majority of Ghanaians for the overwhelming and inspirational support the historic appointment has received and urged all to work together to make history.
