The Member of Parliament (MP) for Cape Coast North, Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, has presented building materials to Wesley Girls’ Senior High School to aid in the construction of a new septic tank facility.
The donated items included 100 bags of cement, two trips of sand, and two trips of stones.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Dr. Nyarku, also known as “Ragga,” explained that his decision to intervene followed a notification from the school regarding an urgent need for sanitation infrastructure.
“My office was notified about a project Wesley Girls wanted to embark on, which is a septic tank. So, my office decided to come and support the project,” the lawmaker stated.
Receiving the items on behalf of the board, management, staff, and students, the headmistress of Wesley Girls’ Senior High School expressed profound gratitude to the MP for his prompt intervention.
She noted that the gesture would go a long way toward alleviating sanitation challenges by facilitating the construction of new septic tanks for some of the residential houses on campus.
“On behalf of the Board of the school, management, staff, and students, we want to thank Honourable Dr. Minta Nyarku for heeding our call…”We are so grateful.”
She further appealed to the lawmaker for continued collaboration and support for future development initiatives at the institution.
