Reports suggest that Asante Kotoko has reached out to Bismark Kobby Mensah for the coaching role, even with Prosper Ogum still holding the position.
According to sources in Kumasi, the Interim Management Committee of the Ghanaian powerhouse is actively seeking a new coach due to the team’s disappointing performance in the latter half of the Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors have managed just one victory in eight matches since the start of the year and have slipped to 11th place in the standings.
On Tuesday, supporters gathered at Adako Jachie to express their frustration, but neither Ogum nor his assistant, David Ocloo, were present.
This absence has fueled speculation about Ogum’s impending dismissal, as fans clamor for change.
Meanwhile, Kobby Mensah, who commenced the season with Bechem United before departing, brings considerable experience coaching at the highest level.
He has previously managed Karela United, Great Olympics, and Medeama SC.
