The relatives of the persons Funny Face injured in last month’s car crash at Kakraba in Kasoa have revealed that there is growing demand for Funny Face to face the full force of the law and potentially go to jail for the accusations brought against him.
Funny Face, real name Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, is facing charges for striking five people on March 24, 2024, with his car.
He has since been accused of causing hurt, driving while intoxicated, and reckless driving.
He was granted GH¢120,000 bail by the District Court in Kasoa Akweley, and as of April 9, 2024, he is no longer under police arrest.
The matter is not yet resolved.
The grandfather of the two victims, Nana Akomea, revealed to Funny Face during a visit with some family members and his management team that the family has been urged by a number of people, including some media outlets, to put pressure on the police to guarantee that Funny Face is imprisoned.
In order to apologize for the mishap, Funny Face visited the victims’ home.
After receiving a warm reception, Funny Face and the team had a thought-provoking discussion.
In order to aid in Funny Face’s life restoration, they urged him to strengthen his relationship with God.
As the discussion was going on, Nana Akomea, the victims’ grandfather, entered the room and stated that the family was being pressured by individuals to see to it that Funny Face was put in jail.
However, he added that since they have forgiven him and shown contrition, the family has no intention of going down that route.
“People are seeking Funny Face’s downfall. We have been receiving calls from some persons, radio and TV stations asking us to take this up and I have been shocked at how people want to destroy him.
“The pressure from some people asking us to bring Funny Face down is not easy. Bring the camera close for them to see my face because I want this video to go viral so please share.
“I want the television stations and radio stations to know that I’m the Nana Akomea they have been speaking to,” he said.
