American rapper Ja Rule is in Ghana for the groundbreaking ceremony of a classroom block at Nuaso Anglican Primary School in the Eastern area.
The legendary rapper, who made the announcement in January of this year, is set to grace the ceremony marking the official start of the school block’s construction. He landed in Ghana yesterday with his wife and entourage.
Ja Rule disclosed that the next project is a partnership with Pencils of Promise, a US non-profit organization well-known for building schools and expanding access to education across the globe.
The rapper, whose true name is Jeffrey Bruce Atkins Sr., has already paid respects at a number of important tourist destinations in Ghana, such as the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum Park.

Images of him on social media indicate that he visited the office of Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) CEO Akwasi Agyeman and also had meetings with several creatives from Ghana.
The American comedian Michael Blackson, who gained notoriety last year when he opened the “Michael Blackson Academy” in Agona Nsaba, in the Central Region, is the inspiration behind Ja Rule’s project to build a school block collapses.
