The Star Beer Media and Influencer Cooking Competition was won by Ghanaian comedian and social media influencer Sadiq Sule, also referred to as SDK.
The competition, which was recently held at Legon’s Corridor Gardens-East, was designed to highlight the essence of Star Beer’s superior quality and crisp flavor.
Top media figures and influencers, such as SDK, Kojo Junior, and Karen Jacqueline, attended the event, which gave visitors an incredible tour of Star Beer’s world and the spirit of high-end quality.
When influencers SDK, Karen Jacqueline, and Bosslady engaged in a cooking competition, the evening became thrilling. Each demonstrated their culinary prowess as the audience applauded, fostering a lively environment of rivalry and camaraderie. Bosslady and Karen Jacqueline placed second and third, respectively, behind winner SDK.
A lively interactive “Choices” game was also enjoyed by the guests, as they investigated challenging real-life situations and had to make decisions.
Attendees enjoyed tasting sessions throughout the evening, when they were able to sample Star Beer’s award-winning flavor and distinctive million dazzling bubbles.

The celebration embodied the brand’s motto, “Shine On,” encouraging all Ghanaians to enjoy the goodness and happiness that comes with Star Beer. Through the Shine On National Tour, the brand has brought this to life across the nation. It is an in-bar event that offers Ghanaians a first-rate experience, but more significantly, it provides aspiring musicians and chefs with a stage on which to display their skills to a wider audience and get compensated for them. From Accra to Bolga, more than fifty Ghanaians have won cash awards in the Shine On National Tour.
Papa Kwaku Owusu Agyemang Osei, the Brands Manager for Lagers at Guinness Ghana, gave a statement about the occasion and thanked everyone who attended. “Star Beer’s dedication to excellence and innovation is demonstrated by this celebration. We are overjoyed to have shared our love of exceptional brewing with such distinguished visitors, and we look forward to shining brightly together in the future.”
Star beer is a delicious, high-quality, multiple award-winning Ghanaian beer that is prepared using abundant, locally obtained ingredients. In January 2023, Guinness Ghana resumed brewing the excellent, high-quality Ghanaian beer, Star Beer, in Kumasi, the city where it was first brewed.
Numerous accolades, including five Gold accolades from the prestigious Monde Selection Quality Awards, have been given in recognition of its dedication to excellence; the most recent honor was given in June 2023.
