Ghanaian actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin’s much awaited “A Country Called Ghana” film production is scheduled to open at the National Theatre on Friday, May 17, 2024.
It will be the first of several premieres, with the second taking place on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the KNUST CCB Auditorium in Kumasi.

Nollywood actors Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu—better known as “Awilo Sharp Sharp”—star in the Fiifi Ghabin-directed film.
The plot of “A Country Called Ghana” shows how attempts by the West to infiltrate Ghanaian culture were met with resistance.Kwadwo Nkansah plays an English interpreter in the humorous film, where he works in an indigenous community where there is little access to education.
The film’s last days of filming have been revealed, and Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin expressed his delight at having Nigerian performers in the film in an interview.
“We are in the last days of shooting the movie, and we are getting set to premiere the movie around the country. This movie project has been tailored to meet Netflix standards, and we are working vigorously to produce quality content.
“Most of the videos circulating about the movie are not part of the storyline, so I urge Ghanaians to come and support me on the day of the premiere and have the chance to interact with the cast,” he said.
