Another Ghanaian has entered the battle in an attempt to break a different record, weeks after Afua Asantewaa and Chef Faila failed in their attempts to break the sing-a-thon and cook-a-thon world records, respectively.
Under the stage name Forqzy Beatz, Manasseh T. Nartey, a Tema Community 1 resident and professional music producer and sound engineer, is attempting a five-day Guinness World Records Rec-A-Thon for 100 hours.
Forqzy Beatz’s effort to break the record held by a Nigerian since 2022 is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. today, March 21, in the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) forecourt.
The crew was hard at work checking the sound system and taking care of other technicalities when the Graphic Showbiz visited the location.
The official attempt’s coordinator, Daniel Adjetey Annang, stated in an interview that the goal was to record 200 artists in 100 hours, and that GWR had approved the endeavor.

He was hopeful that in order to guarantee success at the end of the effort, the organizers will adhere to the established rules by GWR.
In addition to hoping for a few A-list performers to stop by, he said the endeavor would provide a chance to record several up-and-coming musicians in order to help them promote their craft.
The record for the longest recording marathon involving multiple artists is 40 hours with 30 artists, which was accomplished by Blaqk stereo and Near Protocol of Nigeria between June 25 and June 27, 2022.
