Diana Hamilton’s “Awake Experience” performance took place on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) auditorium in Teshie, Accra. It was an incredible night of inspiration and song.
The award-winning Ghanaian gospel artist who arranged the event broke records by making it the most successful gospel concert to ever take place at the location.
First up for the evening was a performance by the renowned Daughters of Glorious Jesus. Their elite performance prepared the audience for the legendary Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, whose performance of her hits, such as “Na You Dey Reign,” enthralled the crowd.
When Diana Hamilton herself took the stage, there was a genuine outpouring of joy. As she performed her well-known songs, the auditorium erupted with excitement, building to a climax when Mercy Chinwo joined her for their number-one hit song, “The Doing of the Lord.”

Not only was there music performed during the performance, but notable people attended as well. Both NDC and NPP dignitaries, such as Betty Mould Iddrisu, Julius Debrah, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Elizabeth Ohene, and Sam Gyata George, were present and contributed to the celebration.
