According to officials and records, Usher wed longtime companion Jenn Goicoechea in Las Vegas a few hours after the R&B singer’s main stage performance at the Super Bowl halftime show.
It is well known that the celebrant who married the couple dressed like an Elvis Presley impersonator.
A marriage certificate made public on Monday states that the pair wed on Sunday at Vegas Weddings. Ron DeCar, also known as Rev. Ronald Joseph Polrywka, presided over the service. Usher’s mother Jonnetta Patton was one of the witnesses.
“Congratulations to the Newlyweds!” chapel owner Melody Willis-Williams said in a statement. “We were beyond thrilled to host in this epic day for Usher and his new wife.”
“As much as we love, love,” the statement adds, “this is the couple’s news to share any further details on. We’ll always be fans of Usher! Yeah!”

With two young daughters, Usher, 45, and Goicoechea, 40, have been together since 2019. The Associated Press questioned Lydia Kanuga, a representative for Usher, about whether the service was held in the chapel, on a balcony, or in the drive-thru line. She did not immediately comment.
An email from The Associated Press asking for more details was not answered by DeCar. DeCar declined to comment, according to a spokesperson.
The head of the county’s marriage license bureau, Lynn Marie Goya, the clerk for Clark County, acknowledged that her office granted a license to Usher and Goicoechea last week.“Naturally they got married in Las Vegas,” Goya said. “What better place than the ‘Wedding Capital of the World?’’
The paperwork, which was released on Thursday, reveals the couple’s whole names, Usher Raymond IV and Jennifer Jean Goicoechea, along with the $102 filing fee they paid. It states that Goicoechea had never been married and Usher had. Additionally, their business address—a commercial property in Los Angeles’ Encino neighborhood—was revealed.
After two years of marriage, Usher and Tameka Foster got divorced in 2009, and he was granted custody of their two sons. Three years into his second marriage to former manager Grace Miguel, the singer filed for divorce in December 2018.
Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon, and Ludacris were among the celebrities that made cameo appearances during Usher’s highly praised Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. The NFL championship game was won by the Kansas City Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers, 25-22, in overtime.
Usher just concluded a two-year engagement on the Las Vegas Strip “Usher: My Way” at the Park MGM. He just released his first solo album in eight years, and in August is scheduled to kick off a 24-city U.S. tour titled “Past Present Future.”
