Members of the Susana Wesley Mission Auxiliary of the Ebenezer Methodist Church-Siwdu in Cape Coast at the weekend stepped forward to make a significant difference in the lives of children with special needs at Challenged Children Foundation International (CCFI) in Cape Coast.
In an event marked by joy and generosity, this society not only feted these wonderful children but also donated essential items to support their wellbeing.
The items included toiletries, water, and diapers to support the children and their mothers.
The society, known for its charitable activities in the region, organized an array of fun-filled activities tailored to the abilities and interests of the children.
From sensory games to creative arts and crafts, every child had an opportunity to engage, play, and express themselves in a nurturing environment.
But the highlight of the day was the feast prepared by the church members. A delicious spread of local dishes was served, bringing together children, parents, and volunteers in a moment of true community fellowship.
In addition to the day’s festivities, the Susana Wesley Mission Auxiliary members presented a range of essential items like sanitary towels and other items, all aimed at easing the daily challenges these families and the foundation face in supporting the children’s development.
The Diocesan Secretary of Ebenezer Methodist Church-Siwdu, Cynthia Ofosuhene in an interview with ATL FM NEWS emphasized the importance of inclusivity and support for all members of the community, especially those who are often overlooked.
According to her, the church’s commitment to practical acts of love and service was evident in every aspect of the event.
She urged parents with challenged children not to relent in their endeavours adding that when they feel overwhelmed with the challenges they are facing, they can fall on the services of CCFI.
Mad. Ofosuhene also indicated that the mission will in diverse ways help the foundation.
The CEO of Challenged Children Foundation International, Mrs. Richeal Adom expressed her appreciation to the members of the Susana Wesley Mission Auxiliary and appealed to various organizations and philanthropists to come to the aid of the foundation.
