The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it will officially address the public on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, following its long-standing member Alan Kyeremanten’s resignation from the party.
The address is expected to be held at the party’s headquarters.
In a statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party leadership described as unfortunate the decision of Alan Kyeremanten to sever ties with the NPP party.
“The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken notice of the unfortunate decision of Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, a long-standing member of the Party to forfeit his membership and contest as an independent presidential candidate in the 2024 general elections,” parts of the statement said.
