The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says the widespread power outage that hit most parts of Ghana on Friday Night was due to technical challenges emanating from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo).
The outage affected several areas dotted across the 16 regions of the country as many shared the state of the power outage situation on their social media handles.
In a communique, the ECG confirmed the widespread outage and assured its customers that efforts were being made to rectify the challenge for power supply to be restored.
It further apologised to Ghanaians for the development.
