The 2nd Runner Up for the 2022 edition of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Grace Afanyin Owusu Arhin, also known as Asiedua has successfully launched her project, “Young and Ready Foundation” at Abeadze Dominase in the Central Region.

As she shared with ATL FM NEWS what the project seeks to achieve, she stressed the need for stakeholders to ensure school children in Basic schools do not lack the necessary learning materials they need.

According to her, these learning materials contribute to preparing the learners well for the next level of their academic journey.

To this end, Aseidua said her ‘Young and Ready Foundation’ which is an initiative by herself and the rest of her team will provide basic learning materials for basic school children in the central region.

To her, it’s high time the central region takes a step back and looks at its foundation as a region.

“We are many at times praising our SHS schools and our universities. But we forget that the foundation we are raising for these schools or these institutions needs to have that preparedness. And so Young and Ready is seeking to awaken the creativity of children which comes with learning. So come with us on this journey as we provide the basic learning material for these children. Whether shoes, bags, uniforms, everything undergarments everything that prepares a child for the next phase of life” she added.

She also revealed the foundation’s plan to establish mobile reading clubs for school children in the Central Region.

She explained that a library is not always a structure that has to be set up, adding that “it can be we giving you the books, monitoring you in terms of reading and preparing your mind. That is what young and ready seeks to do.”

Meanwhile, the President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs, who is also the Paramount Chief of Breman Traditional Area, Odeefuo Amoakwa Buadu VIII is admonishing parents to give priority to investing in the education of their wards considering the blessings associated with educating a child.

He said as traditional rulers it is also their aim to ensure all and sundry get all involved, to ensure that there is collaborative work to reduce cost on other things and focus on giving the best to children.
