Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has reacted to Charles Adu Boahen’s appearance fee allegation saying he is not aware of any such meeting held by the Minister.
Dr. Bawumia taking to his Facebook page posted that “if what the minister is alleged to have said is accurately captured in the video, then his position as a minister of state is untenable. He should be dismissed summarily and investigated.”
He said his integrity is his most cherished asset and he will not allow anyone to use his name to engage in corrupt activities.
Meanwhile, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of the Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Charles Adu Boahen with immediate effect.
In a statement issued by the presidency and signed by the director of communications Eugene Arhin, it said “prior to the termination, the president spoke to the minister after being made aware of the allegations leveled against the minister in the expose “Galamsey Economy”.
