Former Kumasi Mayor Kojo Bonsu has sought the Asantehene’s blessings in his bid to become the National Democratic Congress‘s first Ashanti flagbearer.
Mr. Bonsu stated that no Ashanti had previously attained the NDC’s top leadership position, and he asked for Otumfuo’s support.
He expressed his aim to boost the opposition party’s fortunes in order to return the presidency to Kumasi after the 2024 election.
Kojo Bonsu attended the Akwasidae festival at the Manhyia Palace to publicly announce his desire to contest for the NDC flagbearership this year.
