The Ghana Enterprises Agency has announced the second phase of its YouStart Ghana Jobs and Skills Project.
This initiative will provide a total of 52 million Ghana Cedis in grants to over 4,000 youth-led startups and enterprises.
The ‘Biggest Grant and Mentoring Expo’ reached a key milestone with an official signing ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre, where young entrepreneurs gathered to celebrate this new phase of support for their ventures.

The government’s vision through the YouStart initiative is to combat youth unemployment and promote sustainable business development.
Under this phase, young entrepreneurs will receive crucial financial aid along with mentorship in essential business skills, including management, financial literacy, and digital marketing.
Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, CEO of the Ghana Enterprises Agency, highlighted the importance of this support, not only financially but as a symbol of the government’s belief in the power of Ghana’s youth.
She emphasized that the ceremony is a commitment to the future of Ghana, built on the dreams of our young entrepreneurs.
The grants, totalling over 51.8 million Ghana Cedis, will be distributed to 4,174 young business owners across the nation.
Beneficiaries will also undergo tailored training at three levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced, helping them grow their businesses into vital contributors to Ghana’s economy.
Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare, also expressed pride in the initiative, recognizing the energy, creativity, and potential of Ghana’s young people to drive economic progress.
She added that investing in the youth is ultimately investing in the future of Ghana
