Gospel artist Joe Mettle has reaffirmed his stance against collaborating with secular artists.
During an interview on Hitz FM, he cited spiritual reasons for his decision stating that “Sarkodie and I have discussed this and mutually agreed that it’s a door I don’t want to open,” he explained. I follow the guidance of the Spirit in all things. When the time is right spiritually, I will consider collaborations,” he added.
Joe Mettle disclosed that while he has received requests for features from several individuals, he will only accept them when he feels led to do so spiritually.
“I refrain from collaborations to maintain consistency in my stance,” he emphasized.
Currently on a media tour to promote his upcoming event, “Praise Reloaded: Holy Spirit the Encounter,” scheduled for June 30 at the Accra Sports Stadium, Joe Mettle also addressed sponsorship concerns.
He reiterated his refusal to accept sponsorship from alcoholic brands for his events, emphasizing his commitment to principles aligned with his faith.
Regarding undisclosed sponsorships, he commented, “Silent sponsors who prefer anonymity pose a dilemma.
Sponsorship isn’t without obligations, and I’m considering how to handle such situations.”
His comments came in response to a fan’s question about whether he would consider accepting sponsorship from alcoholic brands.
