Mikel Arteta expressed the need to offer his Arsenal team “support and affection” following their elimination from the Champions League by Bayern Munich.
Bayern secured a 1-0 victory in Germany with Joshua Kimmich’s header in the second half, sealing a 3-2 aggregate triumph in the quarter-final.

This marked Arsenal’s second consecutive loss, following their defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League, which saw them slip in the title race.
Arteta admitted struggling to find the right words to console his players but emphasized his commitment, along with the coaching staff, to stand by them during this challenging time.
“I wish I had the right words to say to the players to make them feel better. What I am going to do – and all the coaching staff too – is to be close to the players.” Arteta said.
“I feel so grateful to be the coach and to work with them every single day.”
