Dreams FC’s hard-fought victory over Club Africain in their maiden season was a significant step towards their goal of making it to the CAF Confederation Cup knockout stage.
Going into the last round of fixtures, the Ghanaian FA Cup champions lead their group after defeating their Tunisian opponents by a single goal.
Up until the 50th minute, when Godfred Atuahene scored the game-winning goal after Abdul Aziz Issah, a teenage phenom, set up the goal, the game was evenly balanced.
Dreams FC hung on for a crucial victory as Club Africain failed to equalize despite their best efforts.

The triumph made them the first Ghanaian team to win all three of their games in a single CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
With 12 points after the victory, Dreams FC leads the group standings, followed by Club Africain and Rivers United, each with nine points.
Dreams FC must yet put in effort to secure qualification, though. To advance, they must draw or lose to Rivers United by one goal in their last game. A two-goal loss would mean their elimination.
Dreams FC can still make it through even if they lose by two goals. Dreams FC will advance if Academica do Lobito stops Club Africain from winning in Rades.
