In a bid to enhance sports tourism in Ghana, Kenpong Travel and Tour (KT&T), a leading travel and tour company, has unveiled travel packages for Ghanaian football fans eager to support the Black Stars at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
KT&T Travel Consultant, Mohammed Alhassan at a press briefing on Monday in Accra revealed that the company is offering two budget-friendly packages, providing options for both air and road travel to Abidjan, where the Black Stars will be based for 11 days during the tournament.
The inclusive features of these packages comprise round-trip transportation to and from Cote d’Ivoire, bed and breakfast accommodations, match tickets, and guided tours of Abidjan during the intervals when the Black Stars are not in action.

The more economical road travel package, facilitated by a State Transport Company luxury bus, starts at GH₵15,000 per person for double occupancy, with an alternative single occupancy room package starting at GH₵23,000.
Mr. Alhassan emphasized that customized travel packages are also available for those opting to fly to Abidjan and witness specific matches.
Additionally, the company has introduced a convenient payment plan, allowing travellers to complete their payments in instalments, with the deadline for all payments set for December 31, 2023.
These comprehensive packages are designed not only to cover accommodations and in-country travel but also to incorporate visits to prominent tourist attractions in Ivory Coast.
The 2023 AFCON, scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024, will see the Black Stars of Ghana, pitted in Group E, competing against Madagascar, Angola, and the Central African Republic.
