Thomas Partey, an Arsenal midfielder, is expected to fully recover and regain form in time for the Black Stars’ 2023 AFCON campaign, according to head coach Chris Hughton.
Prior to the Black Stars’ two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar on November 17 and Comoros on November 21, he made this statement in an interview with the BBC.
Due to a muscular injury sustained prior to Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League Match Day 3 matchup against Sevilla in Spain, Partey will miss both games.

After experiencing a setback that forced the former Atletico Madrid star to see a specialist for a thigh issue, his recuperation period appeared to go longer.
“We are all very much aware the quality of player that he is. Unfortunately for us he is injured at this period of time.”
“We are very very hopeful that he will be fit and back playing and in good form by the time that we get to AFCON but at this very moment we don’t know.”
