Former Black Stars coach, Kwasi Appiah’s camp has disregarded rumors that the coach is set to resign from the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Committee.

Spokesperson for the current Sudan national team coach Asante Fokuo posted on his social media handle to disregard the news.

“Please disregard any media report indicating that Coach Kwasi Appiah who is yet to be sworn into office as Exco member is set to resign from the EXCO.

Appiah’s new role in Sudan is not in conflict with the GFA status as such he will continue to serve as Exco member.

Coach Appiah would also disappoint his supporters should he resign immediately after his election. Additionally, in this modern day he can attend Exco meetings virtually if the need be.
Similarly, the Exco job is a part time and not a full-time job so for now, he can combine the Sudan coaching job and that of the Exco . As such, he has no plans of resigning now.”
