President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has today, February 7, 2023, written a letter to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin announcing some changes in his government.
The letter contained the names of new ministerial nominees with Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi Asokwa, KT Hammond chosen to replace Alan Kyerematen at the Trade and Industry Ministry.
MP for Abetifi Constituency Bryan Acheampong has also been appointed to head the Ministry of Food and Agriculture while Osei Bonsu Amoah has been chosen as the Minister of State at the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development.
MP for Nhyiaeso and former head of MASLOC Stephen Amoah has been nominated as a Deputy Trade Minister.
Mohammed Amin Adam is also replacing Mr. Charles Adu Boahene as the Minister of State at the Finance Ministry.
Stephen Asamoah-Boateng, former Director-General of SIGA also takes over as Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
Herbert Krapa, a Deputy Trade Minister has also been moved to the Energy Ministry as deputy minister.
While communicating the ministerial reshuffle to parliament today, the Speaker of Parliament referred the message to the appointment committee of Parliament for consideration after which they are required to report to parliament.
