The National Insurance Commission says it is collaborating with the National Insurance College to organize a two-week free insurance training programme for 10,000 interested persons nationwide.
According to the commission, the training program forms part of the commission’s structured campaign to create insurance awareness and raise a new generation of experienced insurance practitioners for the country.
Speaking on the ATLANTIC WAVE, the Commissioner of Insurance at the Ghana National Insurance Commission, Dr. Justice Ofori indicated that the program will provide a good opportunity for individuals who would want to take insurance as a carrier, equip and better position them for the job market.

“If all you have is your first degree, and others have diploma and advanced diploma in other courses and have been well equipped, in case there is an opportunity in an insurance company or a field you know nothing about you lose the chance to secure yourself a job as you can’t compete in that circle. As an individual you must equip yourself with some profession” he said.
On her part, the Central Regional Head of the Commission Mrs Nicholina Naa Yeye Adumah-Ladzepko explained that the benefits through the instituted Education are open for all committed and dedicated individuals.
She however noted that, the commission wants people “who will be committed and dedicated because insurance is about commitment and trust.”
According to Mrs Nicholina Naa Yeye Adumah-Ladzepko the commission has commenced the registration process in Cape Coast.
“We are giving ourselves about a month to take registration and then we start announcing where the center will be or when Zoom trainings are going to start” she indicated
