You’ve got to learn from tough times. That’s life, for everyone, including us footballers, he said. We could have done some things better, but overall, I’m proud of how we played.
With two big trophies still up for grabs, Van Dijk is ready to give it his all in the final stretch.
There aren’t many games left, and we can still win two big things. We’re going to give it everything, he said. We need to feel the disappointment, but if we bring that energy to Wembley with our fans, I’m sure we’ll do well. I’m always positive.
He also brushed off the idea that they need extra motivation for these big games.
We don’t need any extra push. If you do, you’re in the wrong job, he said confidently. I’m really looking forward to getting back out there.
