Arsenal jumped ahead 2-0 early on. Mariona Caldentey scored right after a City mistake. Then, Lotte Wubben-Moy added another goal with a great header in the eighth minute. City fought back with Mary Fowler heading in a goal from a corner in the 20th minute. Just five minutes into the second half, Vivianne Miedema, a former Arsenal player, tied the game.

Right after Miedema’s goal, Frida Maanum put Arsenal back in front at 3-2. But then, City got a penalty for a foul. Fowler converted it to level the score again. With 12 minutes left, Stina Blackstenius scored the winning goal for Arsenal. City tried hard but couldn’t stop Arsenal from getting the victory.
Manchester United Takes the Lead in the WSL
Even with Arsenal’s win, Manchester United moved ahead to second place after beating Tottenham 1-0. Elisabeth Terland scored a great volley early in the game. Spurs struggled to get through United’s defense and couldn’t find the net. This win was United’s fifth in a row, putting them just seven points behind Chelsea.
Chelsea Moves Closer to WSL Title with Slim Win
Chelsea also kept their spot in the title race with a tough 1-0 win against Aston Villa. The match was close, with Villa’s Kirsty Hanson hitting the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Chelsea got lucky when Villa’s Sarah Mayling accidentally scored an own goal. This gave Chelsea three more points and kept them at the top of the WSL.
Everton Dominate Leicester
Everton won 4-1 against Leicester at home. Kelly Gago scored twice, while Katja Snoeijs and Honoka Hayashi added more goals for Everton. Leicester managed to score through Shannon O’Brien, but they couldn’t keep up with Everton. Now, Leicester is just three points above the relegation zone.
Liverpool nabs a Win Over West Ham
Leanne Kiernan’s goal helped Liverpool win 1-0 against West Ham. Their defense played well, holding back West Ham’s late attempts to score.
Crystal Palace Gets a Draw Against Brighton
Last-place Crystal Palace drew 1-1 with Brighton. Brighton scored first due to a mistake by Palace’s goalkeeper. However, after Brighton got a red card early in the second half, Palace took advantage. My Cato scored in the 88th minute from a cross to earn a point for Palace.
