Doctors from the Ashanti Region’s Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) have started an indefinite strike today, Wednesday, March 13, citing issues with housing.
This comes after the leadership made an announcement earlier.

The physicians had detailed the members’ harassment and repeated demands that they vacate their Danyame homes in Kumasi in a letter that JoyNews obtained.
Several doctors have already received notices demanding that they quit their official bungalows owing to being sold out.
The doctors, on the other hand, argue that the property transfer breaches an agreement they made with Manhyia Palace for alternative housing.
As a result, they have threatened to leave their post in order to look for alternative housing.
