Jackie Appiah, a Ghanaian actress and brand ambassador, has declined to comment on the LGBTQ controversy.
Jackie Appiah, a guest on United Showbiz on Saturday, April 2, 2023 stated that she was hesitant to discuss the matter in order to maintain peace.
“Please I am minding my own business,” she said to the roar of laughter from host MzGee and the rest of the panel.
The topic of LGBTQ dominated the discussion on the show, with various guests weighing in on what has become a hot subject in Ghana.
Her colleague, James Gardiner, who talked on the subject, stated that he didn’t care what individuals did with their sexuality.

“I really don’t care what people do behind closed doors or who they get into bed with… That’s their thing,” he said.
The Proper Human Sexual Rights & Ghanaian Family Values Bill, often known as the Anti-Gay Bill, is being proposed by Ghana’s legislative body.
Before Parliament went into break on Friday, March 31, the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee presented a report on the Bill.
The anti-gay bill, proposed as a Private Members’ Bill, is intended to criminalize specific actions of Ghana’s sexual minorities as well as anybody advocating or supporting LGBTQ+ events.
