According to several reports, Kambilichukwu Edochie, the son of Nollywood star Yul Edochie and his wife May Yul Edochie, has died. He was 16 years old.
According to grapevine information, the young boy was taken to the hospital after he slumped and fell during a football game.
A family source who requested anonymity told Vanguard News that the Actor had confirmed his son’s death.
According to the source, the father and family members met yesterday night at their Enugu house following the boy’s death.

May Yul Edochie’s sister and Kambilichukwu’s auntie, who were there at the scene, said that the teenager had been reading all night in preparation for his exams on Wednesday. Following the exam, he proceeded to the field with his friends to play football, when he had a seizure and collapsed.
He was transported to Mother and Child Hospital, where physicians attempted, but failed, to resuscitate him.
Kambilichukwu celebrated his 16th birthday earlier this year with his parents and fans on social media.
“My first son just turned 16. Happy birthday to you Kambi Leo Yul-Edochie. Many more great years I wish you with loads of accomplishments and greatness. May God be with you always. Daddy loves you,” his father wrote on Instagram.
Yul and his first wife, May Edochie had four kids together; Kambilichukwu Edochie, Dani Edochie, Karl Edochie and Victorious Zane Chukwubuike Yul Edochie.
