The second suspect in the death of Georgina Asor Botchwey, the Tufohene of Ekumfi Akwakrom, Nana Clarke (Nana Crack) has been arrested by the Central Regional Police Command at his hideout after he was spotted by a young man going to farm.
He is alleged, together with a pastor who is also in the grips of the police in Mankessim in the Central Region after he confessed, to aiding the kidnap of the 25-year-old prospective nurse trainee and secretly burying her in the chief’s room.

Multiple reports say the two, after kidnapping her, may have had several bouts of sex with her, killing her, and later buried her in one of the chief’s uncompleted rooms.
Ms. Botchwey’s body was exhumed from the uncompleted building belonging to the chief on Tuesday 20th September 2022.
This was after the pastor, an accomplice is said to have confessed to the heinous act after he led the police to the scene.

According to the Police during a briefing, Police in Mankessim had mounted a search for the nurse trainee, who has been missing for some weeks now after her picture started circulating on social media.
Ms. Botchwey was said to have traveled to Cape Coast to have an interview.
Meanwhile, residents have expressed fear about the incident, especially as it involves a chief.
The Assembly Member of the area, Cephas Arthur, has however called on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to beef up security in Mankessim and its environs.
He said this is not the first time such an incident is happening in the area as it counts Number 5 within this year.
The body of the victim has since been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
