Ambrose Dery, the Minister of the Interior, has declared Wednesday, September 21, a statutory public holiday.
The day has been set aside to commemorate Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Mr Dery said in a statement on Monday, September 19, that the day will be honored in all parts of the nation.

“The general public is hereby informed that Wednesday, 21st September, 2022 which marks Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.” he stressed.
